Thermal Imaging Module with DOM

DOM is widely used for missile head, to provide protection of thermal camera in missile. Normally the material is ZnS, CVD, MgF2, Sapphire. These material is hard enough to under take high level shock& vibration, and melting temperature is over 600 degree. So it is ok for long distance, high speed flying.

ZnS, CVD, MgF2 is transparent for visible light. So it can also work with missle with both visible camera and thermal camera.

The lenses of thermal camera inside DOM is also different to normal thermal lens. In fact, DOM is parts of thermal optical lens. The lens on thermal core + DOM is complete Missile thermal optical system. We can design both DOM and thermal lens for different FOV. Most popular FOV for uncooled DOM is 16°, 24°, 35°.

Customer can also send us drawing of DOM for us. We can design corresponding thermal lens for missile tracking system.
